The Vegan Kind TVK22 Unboxing

I'm finally all moved in, and guess what was ready and waiting for me when I arrived back in the countryside... My August TVK22 box! It's taken me several weeks to get myself organised and figure out the best photography spots in the new house, but I'm finally here to share this month's dose of cruelty-free snack-pornography with you - albeit a little late.

Just in case any of you are still unfamiliar with The Vegan Kind* monthly subscription service, they offer a monthly lifestyle box filled with all manner of vegan, eco and cruelty-free goodies ranging from ingredients, to snacks, to sweets, to household and toiletry items. They also offer a quarterly beauty box. Here's what's in this one...

The last time Hoots appeared in my TVK box was in the form of their pickled onion flavour, I gobbled them right up. They were glorious! The salt and pepper version were also very tasty, although the pepper hit is pretty strong (and that's coming from someone who adores salt and pepper flavour snacks). These snacks are a mix of wholegrains and seeds and have a lovely crunch to them.

Sticky Mix Free-From Belgian Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix

I thought it was extremely fitting for me to arrive back in my hometown in Derbyshire and find such a gorgeous Derbyshire-made product in my box. I still haven't got round to whipping these up yet but I'm definitely looking forward to it. This mix includes a blend of organic flour, Belgian chocolate and a special sugar mix, resulting in a chewy, crunchy cookie.

I do love a good quality herbal tea. This one is a blend of organic red and green rooibos, hibiscus, cacao, liquorice and vanilla. Looking forward to the chilly Autumn days to come even more now. Teatonics blends also provide a wealth of micro-nutrients and antioxidants, making them cleansing as well as comforting.

Beond Organic Sour Cherry/Blueberry Bites

Very similar to Nakd bars, these mini-versions are a mix of dates, nuts and fruit. They might be small but they definitely pack a flavour punch. They're also high in vitamin C and immune-boosting antioxidants. My only grumble is that they aren't big enough, but they are also available in a full-size bar and come from the same folks who brought us the Pulsin Raw Brownies.

IQ Orange & Wild Raspberry Superfood Bar

Made with 71% Peruvian cocoa, this chocolate is wonderfully bitter with a tangy flavour. This bar is sweetened with coconut blossom and contains only ethically-sourced, organic ingredients from the Rio Negro Valley in Peru. No guilt whatsoever with this sweet treat!

Dr Organic Virgin Olive Oil Deodorant

I'm having a bit of nightmare with vegan deodorants. I've tried plenty, but they just don't do the job for me (not that I'm an excessively stinky/sweaty individual, just that I have certain health issues that affect me in that way and I need a heavy duty product). This one smells so fresh and lovely, is made from hydrating virgin olive oil and blended with olive leaf extract, aloe vera and vitamin E, amongst other things. I have really high hopes for it. I can't deal with more disappointment haha.

So, all in all, another fantastic box from TVK. They've never disappointed me, and I've been receiving their boxes for over a year. I love how they always keep their boxes new and fresh, while also including past favourites from time to time (got my fingers crossed for another Vego bar sometime soon... pretty please??). This month TVK are donating 10p from every box sold to the Vegan Billboard Campaign, who raise money for vegan and animal rights billboards in busy city-centre locations.
